RDF Plants

Refuse derived fuel (RDF) means fuel derived from combustible waste fraction of solid waste like plastic, wood, pulp or organic waste, other than chlorinated materials, in the form of pellets or fluff produced by drying, shredding, dehydrating and compacting of solid waste. RDF plants use processing equipment to separate combustible components from non-combustible materials in municipal solid waste (MSW). The combustible components are then processed into a fuel that can be used in place of traditional fuels. RDF can be sold in the form of bales, pellets, or fluff. RDF plants can help reduce the amount of waste that ends up in landfills and can help reduce greenhouse gas emissions. RDF is a sustainable, economic, and convenient way to optimize environmental impacts.
